As part of its effort at ensuring that members of staff in National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate are up to date with relevant information and effectively positioned to communicate government policies and programmes to the public, the management of the State Directorate organized an interactive educative session where salient issues were discussed.

 

The interactive session which had in attendance Assistant Directors, Chief Orientation and Mobilization officers from the 16 LGAs, Heads of various units and other programmes department staff was an opportunity to enlighten Staff on how to explain to the public the various steps in avoiding unsolicited Text Message and Calls by activating the “Do Not Disturb” code released by Nigeria Communication Commission NCC. The implication of activating the code was explained as well as how to reach customer care representatives via 622, the toll-free number NCC released.

 

Furthermore, report writing, being an essential feature of the duties of any NOA staff was also explained in detail with staff reminded on the basics of report writing including its genuiness, timeliness and proper keeping.

The meeting did not end without staff being updated about recent happenings with the National Health Insurance Scheme and people were encouraged to know their rights and politely ensure the rights are not trampled upon by Health Care providers
